It is after 9pm on Sunday night and I’m finally getting around to writing up my Week in the Life post for yesterday. Saturday was a tough day and I had to leave it to Tim to take some pictures for me as I was basically holed up working on painting my office.

First thing in the morning, I was working on priming the door.

Clayton really wanted to help and I let him for about five minutes.

After the door was primed, I took off to rent a paint sprayer for the walls and to pick up the paint. While I was off doing that the boys went to visit Grandma & Grandpa Crow and Clayton got to help mow the lawn.

Ryker just wanted to dig a hole and lay in it.

I really struggled with this machine. I mean to the point of tears. First everything I was spraying was coming out dripping down the wall. Then I couldn’t get anything to come out period. Even though I had the floors covered I got paint EVERYWHERE. This was a nice reminder as to why I attempted to hire someone to do the job – the stress seriously wasn’t worth it.

Tim took Clayton to his t-ball team end of year party while Ryker was taking his nap (and I was crying about the paint job).

I was too exhausted to make dinner, plus I had to take back the paint spray machine I rented so the boys had their favorite mac & cheese from Panera Bread. Ryker is wearing the protection glasses I was using while painting the ceiling.

The boys picked a long book for story time.

I picked a book too and had my usual company as Tim was getting ready for bed.

I feel like the day was a whirl wind and I haven’t really taken a moment to truly reflect on it. But I’m going with the mantra “done is better than perfect” and instead of leaving this incomplete in the hopes I’ll come back to it at some point, I’m just going to post what I have and if when I do my album I have more to say, I’ll update it then.
