Wednesday started with how Tuesday night ended – cleaning up Ryker’s vomit beginning with a load of laundry. I’m actually realizing that I’ve done at least one load of laundry every day this week and so I’m thinking I’ll try to get a different perspective of a laundry image tomorrow.

After dropping Ryker off at school, Clayton went to see a new pediatric dentist. Clayton has really tiny deep pits in his bottom molars that brushing can’t get to so the plan is to have the cavities filled and the other molars sealed to prevent any more. The dentist was empathetic about my concerns regarding metals due to Clayton’s vaccine reactions and history of seizures and we discussed the least risky treatment options available. Where there is risk, there must be a choice.

After the dentist, Clayton was off to school and I came home for a day to work on my various projects. I started off by placing the order for Clayton’s birthday party invitations and then with writing up my Week in the Life – Tuesday Stories and finally made various personal business phone calls. It always amazes me how much time is sucked up just waiting on hold for a live customer service person to speak to. I try to put my phone on speaker and multi-task when on hold but I still feel like I don’t get much done and the waiting / wasted time drives me nuts.

Once I finished my “must-do” list, I tackled my creative project. A couple of weeks ago, the prompt for “One Little Word” was “I feel most alive when….” and I journaled about how I feel most alive when I am creating something beautiful. This held true for me today as I worked on some custom drapes I’m making for my home office / craft room. While working on them I was listening to my current audible book “The Night Tiger.” I think I mentioned already in one of my other daily updates how much a part of my life Amazon is and this is just another example – not only the Audible subscription I have but ALL of the materials I used for my curtains were purchased through Amazon Prime.

The curtains took more time than I had so I was rushing to pick up Clayton and get him to swim. It is so fun seeing his improvement each day and how big his smile gets when he is in the water now.

We followed up swim with a trip to Costco where I was excited about the garlic / basil focaccia bread and Clayton was excited about the Cheez-its and the toilet wand.

Clayton was loving his reflection in the car window so since the camera happened to be handy….

We got home to find Daddy was back from his work conference and he immediately went to work on saving the skateboard the boys lost down the drain back on Monday. He is our family Hero.

Ryker was so funny analyzing and discussing the rescue mission.

Clayton was just happy to get the skateboard back.

I kinda like this out of focus image and feel like I can use the negative space at the bottom for text when I put my Week in the Life album together.

Our dog Uli just hanging out observing the craziness around her. She is on her last leg (her sister and litter mate, Mya, passed away exactly a year ago). Uli has gotten so skinny and spends most of her time sleeping these days.

Did you think I was joking earlier when I said Clayton was excited about the toilet wand?

Buster likes to be close by while Clayton is taking his bath.

Ryker ready for bed and enjoying cuddle time with Daddy.

After the boys are in bed, Wednesday nights are the only night of the week where Tim and I consistently watch a TV show together. I got him hooked on Survivor when we were dating and we haven’t missed watching an episode together since.
[ I didn’t get a photo of this last night but I have an image idea in my head for this that I’m hoping to get to at some point this week].
Thanks for following along! For other fun examples of what Wednesday looked like for others participating in this Week in the Life project, be sure to check out the comments on this Ali Edwards Week in the Life post.

Love your photos!
Thank you so much Mandy!
