Clayton is still obsessed with The Elf on the Shelf. Even though it has been over 45 days since our elf “Nobody” last made an appearance in our home, Clayton still talks about missing him and wants to know when he will be back. He wears his elf pajamas on a regular basis and yesterday you should’ve seen the joy when he located his elf hat in the bottom of his dress-up drawer! Last night he slept in Grandpa Bob’s room (the coldest room in the house) claiming that he was in the North Pole. And when he is in his elf clothes no one is allowed to touch him or else he might lose his magic. This morning he was playing in our bathroom refusing to take the pajamas off so I made a deal with him that he could wear them under his “human” clothes and the tantrum was averted. But only for a short time because when I dropped him off at school and he realized he was missing his hat the floodgates were open in full force.
Anyway, this image may depict Clayton and his current favorite thing but the documentation of stories like this in our daily life also happens to be MY favorite thing.
